Vacancy Details


The Supreme Court of India has invited applications for various positions, with the intention to create separate panels for filling up the following vacancies across different posts. These positions include:

  • Court Master (shorthand) – A total of 31 vacancies are available for this prestigious position.
  • Senior Personal Assistant – The position has 33 vacancies.
  • Personal Assistant – 43 vacancies are available for this role.


The exact number of vacancies is tentative and may change due to administrative reasons, such as additional needs or adjustments in staffing requirements.


Educational Qualification


For the post of Court Master:


The candidate must possess a Degree in Law from a recognized and accredited University in India.


The candidate should have proficiency in English Shorthand with a speed of at least 120 words per minute and must have ability to operate computers proficiently and a typing speed of 40 words per minute.


In addition, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of regular service in roles such as Private Secretary, Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant or Senior Stenographer within government departments.


For the post of Senior Personal Assistant:


Candidate must have degree from a recognized university.


The candidate must be proficient in English Shorthand, with the ability to write at least 110 words per minute.


Computer operation skills are required, with a typing speed of 40 words per minute.


For the post of Personal Assistant:


The candidates must possess a degree from a recognized University and should be skilled in Shorthand with a minimum speed of 100 words per minute.


Computer proficiency is essential, with a typing speed of 40 words per minute.


Age limit


Court Master

 

Applicants should be within the age range of 30 to 45 years.


Senior Personal Assistant


The candidates should be between 18 and 30 years of age.


Personal Assistant


Applicants for this post should also be within the age range of 18 to 30 years.

Salary Details


Court Master is categorized under level 11, with an initial basic pay of 67,700.
Senior Personal Assistant is placed under level 8 in the pay matrix, with initial basic pay of 47,600.
The Personal Assistant, who is placed under level 7, will receive initial basic pay of 44,900.

Selection Process


Typing Speed Test on Computer


Candidates are required to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute. 
Marks - Maximum 10 marks, with a minimum of 5 marks to qualify.

Shorthand Test (English)


The test evaluates shorthand speed, with 120 wpm for Court Master, 110 wpm for Senior Personal Assistant, and 100 wpm for Personal Assistant.
Marks – Maximum 100 marks, with a minimum of 50 marks required to qualify.

Written Test


Objective type questions in English, General Aptitude, General Knowledge, and Law for court master.
Marks – Maximum 100 marks, with 50 marks required to qualify.

Interview


Marks – Maximum 30 marks, with 15 marks required to qualify.

Final Selection


Candidates who qualify for all tests will be empaneled based on merit.

Text Centers: Exams will be held at 23 centers across 16 states. Candidates can choose three preferred centers.
