TN PWD Apprentice Recruitment 2024

The Tamil Nadu Government has release a notification for engineering and non-engineering graduate.

Public Works Department invites online application for undergoing one year apprenticeship training under apprenticeship act 1973.

Vacancy Details

Category I: Graduate Apprentices

Civil Engineering has 460 training places, Electrical and Electronics Engineering has 28 training places, and Architecture has 12 training places.

Category II: Technician (Diploma) Apprentices

Civil Engineering has 150 training places, both Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Architecture has 5 training places.

Category III: Non- Engineering Graduates

Non-Engineering Graduates [B.A. / B.Sc., / B.Com., etc]. has 100 training places.

Salary Details

Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice have a monthly of Rs. 9000. Non- Engineering Graduate have a monthly stipend of Rs. 8000

Duration of Training 

Duration of Training will be provided as one year under the apprenticeship act 1973. 

Educational Qualification 

Category I: Graduate Apprentices

Candidates must be a graduate in Engineering or Technology from a Statutory University in related field for the post of Graduate Apprentice.

Category II: Technician Apprentices (Diploma)

Candidates must have a diploma in Engineering or technology issued by a State Council in the relevant discipline for the post of Technician Apprentices.

Category III: Non- Engineering Graduate Apprentices

Candidates must possess a degree in Arts or Science or Commerce or Humanities from a Statutory University in the relevant discipline.

Age limit

The age limit for the posts in various categories mentioned in the notification will be followed according to the apprenticeship rules.

Minimum Physical Standards are based on the clause 4 of the apprenticeship rule 1992.

Not Eligible to Apply

Candidate are not eligibility to apply, who have an experience in apprenticeship under apprenticeship act 1973.

Selection Procedure

Based on the percentage of marks gained by the candidates in the basic qualification which is mentioned in the notification is the selection procedure for shortlist.

The candidates will be move to the next level of certificate verification after completing the selection procedure for shortlist.

Important Dates

Online application was opened on the date of 25th November 2024. The last date for submission of online application for Public Works Department of Tamil Nadu will be on 31st December 2024.

The Shortlisted candidates list will be declared on 8th January 2025, and the certificate verification for shortlisted candidates will be from 21st January 2025 to 24th January 2025.

They should enter into the student login on the website https://nats.education.gov.in/ and complete the application form.

Students who are not already registered on the National Web Portal 

They should enter into the student Register on the website https://nats.education.gov.in and complete the application.
